📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Second Sweep. The Diamond Dawgs recorded their second sweep of the 2024 season with a 13-3 win over Evansville on Sunday afternoon. The win for State extended the win streak to nine games, the longest since the 2021 season. In the series finale, Dakota Jordan hit his eighth home run of the season and drew three intentional walks, and Dylan Cupp finished 4-for-5 at the plate with three RBI. Mississippi State is back in action for a pair of midweek matchups in Biloxi at the Hancock Whitney Classic. State will face South Alabama on Tuesday at 6 p.m. and New Orleans on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

🔼 Senior Day Duel. After a hard-fought match that saw Bulldog men’s basketball take the No. 17-ranked Gamecocks to overtime, State ultimately fell 93-89. Josh Hubbard knocked down four 3-pointers to secure the single-season record for most threes made while Tolu Smith III and Cameron Matthews finished off the regular season with a pair of double-doubles. The Bulldogs will now shift their focus to the postseason as the team enters as the No. 9 seed and will face off against LSU in Nashville on Thursday at noon.

🔼 National Spotlight. Competing in her third consecutive NCAA Indoor Championships, State’s own Rosealee Cooper earned an eighth-place finish and her first First-Team All-American Award. The Bulldog representative raced the 60m hurdles in 8.27 seconds. The Barbican native completed her indoor season with eight top-six finishes and four Bulldog All-Time Top-Five performances, including the 60m, 200m, 60m hurdles and the 4x400m relay.

🔼 Rally House. Bulldog men’s tennis found themselves down 3-2 to No. 19-ranked LSU, but freshman Radomir Tomic and senior Nemanja Malesevic helped rally to end up with the 4-3 road win. It was the 20th time Malesevic has clinched a match for Mississippi State in his career and his team-leading fourth this season. State improved to 10-4 on the season with the win, and will look to build momentum in SEC play as the team returns home next weekend to host Vanderbilt on Friday.

🗣️ "[Tomic] came through against a very solid spot for LSU today. Then coming down to 'Memo' (Malesevic) on Court 1, it was a great moment for him. It's never an easy match in the conference, especially on the road." - head coach Matt Roberts

🔼 State-Owned Series Win. State softball clinched the series against in-state rival Ole Miss on Saturday thanks to Aspen Wesley’s first career no-hitter. It was the Bulldogs' first no-hitter in conference play since 2013. Wesley struck out a career-high nine batters and allowed just three baserunners. She is the third Bulldog to throw a no-hitter this season, which marks the most by State in a season since 2006. The Bulldogs finished the weekend 2-1 in Oxford to improve to 19-4 overall.

🔼 Back In Action. Following a ninth-place team finish at the Watersound Invitational, Bulldog men’s golf is set to tee it up at the Seminole Intercollegiate in Tallahassee. State will compete in the two-day tournament as Josep Serra looks to continue his stellar play after going 6-under par in his last competitive round.
