Dear Ol’ State: DJ Jeffries Thinks Highly Of MSU Hoops As Postseason Nears. A year removed from being on the team himself, DJ Jeffries is still all Bulldog and he's loving what he's seen from Mississippi State men's basketball this season. 🔼 Movin’ On! No. 10 seed Mississippi State women’s basketball cruised in its SEC Tournament opener on Wednesday, defeating No. 15 seed Missouri, 75-55. Jerkaila Jordan (21 points) and Destiney McPhaul (19 points) led the way for the Bulldogs, who now have a matchup against No. 7 seed Ole Miss today at 6 p.m.

🔼 Bats Get Hot. Mississippi State baseball flexed its muscle on Wednesday, racking up 20 hits in a 18-3 run-rule victory over No. 20 Southern Miss at The Dude. The Diamond Dawgs hit five home runs — Nolan Stevens (two), Bryce Chance, Noah Sullivan and Ace Reese all contributed.

🔼 Everyone Contributes. No. 21 Mississippi State softball picked up its 19th win of the season on Wednesday, totaling 17 hits in a 14-1 win over Louisiana. Sierra Sacco had three hits, three RBI and two runs out of the leadoff spot for the Bulldogs.

🔼 Top 25 Matchup. No. 22 Mississippi State men’s tennis is on the road today, traveling to Austin, Texas to take on the No. 4 Longhorns at 6 p.m.

The Bulldogs and Longhorns have identical 12-2 records to this point in the spring.

🔼 Tickets Punched. Mississippi State track and field is set to send six athletes to the NCAA Indoor National Championships next weekend in Virginia Beach — Nicholas Fakorede (60m), Abdullahi Hassan (800m), Peyton Bair (heptathlon, 4×400), Cyrus Jacobs Jr. (4×400), Alfonso Hale Jr. (4×400) and Christion Barker (4×400).
