🔼 And Then There Were 32. No. 9 seed Mississippi State women’s basketball dominated its NCAA First Round matchup against No. 8 seed Cal on Saturday, winning 59-46 to advance to the Round of 32! The Dawgs held the Bears to their second-lowest scoring output of the season in the win, including just five first-quarter points.

Mississippi State tips off again today, with a matchup against No. 1 seed USC set for 9 p.m. on ESPN in Los Angeles. The Trojans won their first round matchup against UNC Greensboro, 71-25.

🔼 Deep Dish. No. 18 Mississippi State softball picked up another series win over the weekend, traveling to Chicago and taking two-of-three games against Northwestern. The Bulldogs were excellent in Games 1 and 3 of the series, outscoring the Wildcats 26-2 in those contests.

🔼 ‘Til The Final Buzzer. No. 8 seed Mississippi State men’s basketball had its season come to a close in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday, falling 75-72 to No. 9 seed Baylor. The Bulldogs end their season at 21-13 overall, having made the NCAA Tournament for a third straight season for the first time in 20 years.

🔼 Top-20 Win. No. 20 Mississippi State men’s tennis picked up one of its best victories of the season on Sunday, winning 4-3 against No. 18 South Carolina. After winning the doubles point, the Bulldogs got singles wins from Benito Sanchez Martinez, Petar Jovanovic and Roberto Ferrer Guimaraes.

🔼 The Great Outdoors. Mississippi State track and field re-wrote the record books on the final day of the Alumni Bulldog Relays, putting up four MSU all-time top-five performances.

The Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services (MDRS) is proud to partner once again with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) to launch the 2025 PROM Campaign—"Please Return On Monday." Now in its eighth year, this impactful program educates high school students about the importance of making safe driving decisions during prom season. Through powerful presentations, students learn about the dangers of impaired and distracted driving, the importance of seatbelt use, and the life-changing consequences of risky behavior behind the wheel.

Throughout the campaign, MHP Public Affairs Officers, MDRS representatives, and MDRS client speakers share real-life stories to emphasize how one decision can alter lives forever. Survivors recount their experiences with crashes caused by reckless driving, underscoring the reality that surviving doesn’t mean escaping consequences. Since its launch in 2018, PROM has grown exponentially, reaching over 13,100 students in 2024 alone. With momentum building, the 2025 campaign is already off to a strong start with 22 presentations scheduled.
