🔼 Carolina On Our Mind. No. 8 seed Mississippi State men’s basketball has all eyes on it this morning, as the Dawgs begin Day 2 of the NCAA Tournament against No. 9 seed Baylor at 11:15 a.m. CT at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, N.C. The Bulldogs have won two of their previous 8-9 matchups and will be looking for the program's first NCAA Tournament victory since 2008 when State knocked off Oregon in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

🔼 Tourney Time. No. 9 seed Mississippi State women’s hoops begins its NCAA Tournament run out on the West Coast tomorrow, tipping off against No. 8 seed Cal at 4:30 p.m. CT in Los Angeles.

🔼 New Friends. Mississippi State baseball plays its first series against Oklahoma as SEC foes this weekend, traveling to Norman for three games against the No. 10 Sooners. Oklahoma is off to a hot start at 18-2 so far this season, with a perfect 13-0 record at home.

🔼 Windy City Weekend. Mississippi State softball takes a break from SEC play and travels to the north side of Chicago this weekend, playing a three-game series against Northwestern in Evanston, Ill. The Wildcats are 13-9 so far this season.

🔼 Top-20 Matchup. No. 20 Mississippi State men’s tennis takes on another ranked opponent this weekend, hosting No. 18 South Carolina this Sunday at 1 p.m. The Gamecocks are 12-4 overall this season and 6-1 so far in SEC action.

🔼 Two More For The Road. Mississippi State women’s tennis plays another two ranked opponents on the road this weekend, first traveling to No. 63 Kentucky today before visiting No. 6 Tennessee on Sunday.

🔼 A Unique Journey. Peyton Bair can easily recall exactly why he decided he wanted to be a Mississippi State Bulldog.
The track and field standout, who claimed an individual national title in the heptathlon last weekend at the NCAA indoor championships, was still deciding on his college home about a half decade ago when current State coach Chris Woods emphasized to Bair what Mississippi State is all about.
