Beyond The Arc: Making History (S.1 E.7). Follow along as the Bulldogs continue to make history with a victory against eighth-ranked Auburn at home. The win marked the first time in 22 years that the program has had two top-10 wins in the same season.

🔼 Preseason Praise. Diamond Dawg Dakota Jordan is heading into the 2024 season with high praise from Baseball America. The organization placed the sophomore on the Preseason All-America Third Team. The award comes after Perfect Game named him as a Freshman All-American following the 2023 season. Last year in his first season in Starkville, Jordan finished the campaign hitting .307, the second-best mark on the team. He had 47 hits including 10 home runs, nine doubles, and a triple, and he also drove in the third-most runs on the team with 40. 

🔼 Jans’ Presser. Heading into a week where Bulldog men’s basketball will face off against Georgia and Missouri, Chris Jans met with the media for his weekly session on Monday. Hear State’s head coach talk about the SEC schedule, the leaders on the team and what Jans thinks about the matchup against Georgia tomorrow night at The Hump.

🔼 Done Down Under. Mississippi State graduate student Hunter Logan shot a 1-under 71 to finish tied for 23rd during the final round at the Vic Open on the PGA Tour Australasia. Logan finished the tournament at 8-under par and shot under par in three rounds. He carded a total of 19 birdies and secured the second-best finish in a professional event of his career.

🔼 Keep On Trucking. After a mid-season injury knocked down Josey Marron, the Bulldog softball player dusted her jersey off, got back up and powered on through. The Iowa native made waves across the college softball landscape as one of the most impressive freshman pitchers in the country. Marron recorded 95 strikeouts in 79.1 innings pitched and finished the regular season among the top 45 nationally in strikeout-to-walk ratio, strikeouts per seven innings, strikeout rate and fielding-independent pitching.

We all put in all the work that we possibly can in the offseason to prepare for those big moments and so when they do come in, you look back and you see the support of your entire defense [and] in the dugout and that was a huge help in those high-pressure situations." - Josey Marron
