🔼 Bowers: Bulldog Legend. On the 20th anniversary of Bulldog men’s basketball’s 2003-04 SEC regular season championship, Timmy Bowers will be celebrated as the program's SEC Basketball Legend at next month's SEC Tournament at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Bowers served as the team’s captain for two years, including the 2003-04 SEC Championship squad, as one of the most prolific guards to don the Maroon and White. He helped the Bulldogs post 92 victories, an average of 23.0 wins per season, highlighted by three NCAA Tournament appearances. The 2001-02 SEC Tournament champion squad set a program single-season record with 27 victories. Bowers will be the 23rd State men’s basketball player selected as an Allstate SEC Basketball Legend.

🔼 Full Weekend At Nusz Park. Mississippi State softball is getting ready to host the Bulldog Invitational presented by C Spire this weekend as State will host six games on their home field. Making the trip to Starkville will be Southern Miss, Troy, Alcorn State and Samford. The Bulldogs (11-3) will kick off the tournament with a game against the Golden Eagles, followed by four games against Alcorn State and Troy. On Sunday, State will play its final game of the weekend against Samford at 3 p.m.
