The episode culminates in a heartfelt celebration of National Women's and Girls in Sports Day, offering insights from players on the profound meaning this day holds for them.

🔼 Flowers Given. Mississippi State softball’s Aspen Wesley picked up SEC Co-Pitcher of the Week honors after earning two complete-game victories against ranked opponents. Wesley posted a 2-0 record, defeating No. 23 Louisiana at home and No. 8 Clemson. She faced a team-high 55 batters in 13.0 innings pitched and allowed just 13 to reach base and one earned run while striking out 12 batters. The award-winner was responsible for two of State's four straight victories over ranked opponents this week, which marked the first time State had won four straight against ranked teams since 2021.

🔼 Approaching History. State’s freshman phenom Josh Hubbard earned his fourth SEC Freshman of the Week honors following his performance against Arkansas, scoring a team-high 19 points. The playmaker highlighted his outing against the Razorbacks with a go-ahead 3-pointer in the game’s final minutes to put the Bulldogs ahead for good. Hubbard approaches history as only one other State player, Jamont Gordon, has won the award four times in one season. This season, Hubbard has racked up 375 points, the fifth-most for a State freshman through 25 games.

🔼 Fight For First. No. 18 Mississippi State men's golf opened its first team tournament of 2024, shooting 5-under at the Watersound Invitational. The Bulldogs shot a combined 283, landing them in a tie for second place, five strokes back from the leaders. Hunter Logan led the Bulldogs through the opening 18 holes for the third consecutive tournament. He stands tied for the individual lead at 6-under, carding eight birdies, including six on the back nine, to open the tournament. Garrett Endicott joined Logan under par after carding six birdies for an up-and-down day to finish at 1-under and tied for 15th place.
