🔼 No Doubt About It. The Bulldogs improved their 2023-24 resume with its first true SEC road win of the season after taking care of Missouri 75-51. State outscored Mizzou 45-25 in the second half and shot an impressive 54.8 percent from the field in the second half. On the defensive end, the Dawgs held the Tigers to only 30.4 percent shooting over the final 20 minutes of play and didn't allow a 3-pointer in the entirety of the second half. Cameron Matthews had an all-around performance with nine points, seven rebounds, seven steals and four assists while Josh Hubbard finished with a game-high 16 points.

🗣️ "It feels good to put the doubters to rest. [It felt good] just to come out here and play to the best of our ability and do what we can do." - Cameron Matthews

🔼 On A Roll. Sunday's win gave State men’s tennis its third consecutive victory and improved the Bulldogs to 7-3 on the year. It also evened the season series between the two teams after VCU edged the Bulldogs 4-3 during the opening round of ITA Kickoff Weekend. State started strong by winning the doubles point thanks to a match-clinching win from Petar Jovanovic and Bentio Sanchez Martinez. The doubles point was followed up by four singles wins from the Bulldogs to settle the match with a 4-2 win.

🔼 Stellar Start. After the weather settled down at The Snowman: Alex Wilcox Memorial Tournament, the Bulldogs showed up and started the season with a perfect 4-0 record. Three of the four wins came by run rule, but more importantly, two wins featured pitchers Matalasi Faapito and Josey Marron, as they tossed back-to-back no-hitters for State against IUPUI. Marron pitched her first career collegiate no-hitter while Faapito completed her no-hitter for the second time. It was the first time in school history that State tossed back-to-back no-nos and the first time the Bulldogs did it on consecutive days since the first two in program history in 1997. The Bulldogs outscored their opponents 35-2 and hit five home runs on the weekend.

🔼 Wrapping Things Up. State track and field concluded its regular season at the Music City Challenge and Tiger Paw Invite with 20 Bulldogs recording personal bests with six of them turning in all-time top-five performances. The 4×400 women’s squad, featuring freshman Michaela McCall, sophomore Jessicka Woods and seniors Kethlin Campbell and Rosealee Cooper, now ranks second on the all-time performance list at State with a time of 3:38.88. On the men’s side, Tyrese Reid took home the gold with a personal best time of 1:47.87 in the 800m to remain third in school history.
