🔼 Striving For Excellence. Mississippi State Athletics has received a generous $1.5 million gift from a family of long-time MSU Athletics supporters who reside in Starkville, Director of Athletics Zac Selmon announced Tuesday.

🔼 Home Cookin’. Mississippi State women’s basketball is back at the Hump tonight for the first time in two weeks, tipping off against Arkansas at 6:30 p.m. The Razorbacks are 9-15 overall this season and 2-7 so far in SEC play.

🔼 Preseason Praise. Preseason honors are rolling out ahead of the Diamond Dawgs’ season opener on Feb. 14 — Hunter Hines has earned a First Team Preseason All-SEC nod!

The team also earned some praise on Wednesday, with the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and USA Today Coaches Poll tabbing the Bulldogs as the No. 19 team in the country in their preseason polls.

🔼 Locked Down. Men’s hoops’ Cameron Matthews has been named as one of 15 players on the 2024-25 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Watch List. Matthews is the SEC leader in steals per game (2.59) this season where he's also ranked among the nation's top 10. His 249 career steals are a State program record, and he checks in tied for 5th among NCAA active players.
