🔼 Fab Five. The linebacking duo for State football were two of five Bulldogs to be selected to College Football Network All-SEC teams. Both Nathaniel Watson, the SEC Defensive Player of the Year, and Jett Johnson earned First Team honors while OL Percy Lewis, DL Jaden Crumedy and OL Kam Jones were selected as honorable mentions.

Both Watson and Johnson finished first and second in total tackles in the SEC, and have a chance to finish in the top two in the category to become the first pair of SEC teammates to lead the SEC in tackles in back-to-back seasons. Along with their College Football Network First Team selection, Watson and Johnson earned AP All-SEC honors while Watson earned an additional selection from League Coaches to be on the All-SEC First Team.

🔼 New Hires. Since the last edition of Bulldog Brew, head coach Jeff Lebby made three new additions to his staff with the hiring of head strength and conditioning coach Shaud Williams, and making up the D.A.W.G (Developing A Winning Gameplan) will be director of career and professional development Greg Knox, director of community engagement and former player liaison Gerri Green and director of life skills and NFL liaison Jason Washington.

Coach Williams is being welcomed to Starkville after spending five years in Oregon while Coach Knox, Coach Green and Coach Washington are staying home to help assist under Jeff Lebby.

🤔 BULLDOG TRIVIA
