Dear Ol’ State: Justin Parker. On the latest episode, hear from new pitching coach Justin Parker as he talks about the upcoming baseball season and his transition to Mississippi State.

🔼 Best of the Best. In his final season with the Bulldogs, Nathaniel Watson, the SEC’s leader in total tackles was named The Associated Press SEC Defensive Player of the Year. Watson becomes the first State player in a long list of star defensive players in Bulldog history to be given the award.
Throughout the season, Watson received recognition and honor for his play on the field. He was twice named SEC Defensive Player of the Week, was named a national defensive player of the week and became the first Bulldog in program history to become a finalist for the Bednarik Award. Watson concluded his collegiate career having played in 57 games with 379 tackles, along with 35 tackles for loss and 21 sacks.
🔼 Out With The Old. In with the new! Bulldog softball will become Mississippi State’s fifth ticketed sport. Beginning in February, all fans must purchase a ticket for all games at Nusz Park.

The growth of our sport, along with our new Fieldhouse, reflects ongoing support for women's athletics and softball at MSU. Season tickets will be available for $99 with convenient payment plan options. Single-game tickets will be priced at $8 for adults and $5 for children, and all tickets will be general admission. Group sales options will bring those prices down to $3 per ticket (must be purchased in advance). Additionally, students may purchase softball-only packages for $30 for the year.

🔼 State to Sundays. From Mississippi State phenom to NFL MVP frontrunner, Dak Prescott has come a long way. He, along with some other former Bulldogs, showed out in Week 13. Let’s take a look at some of the top NFL performances from the weekend:
Dak Prescott fired off another stellar performance in his Thursday Night Football game with 299 yards through the air, 23 on the ground and three passing touchdowns.
Preston Smith came up big in the Packers’ win over the Kansas City Chiefs. He tallied two total tackles and a sack.
Denico Autry helped create chaos for the Tennessee Titans as he racked up four total tackles and a sack.
