🔼 Road Tilt. Bulldog men’s basketball put up a fight inside the swamp, and Josh Hubbard continued his productive freshman season, but Mississippi State couldn't overcome a late first-half run by Florida, falling to the Gators 79-70. The standout freshman drained five 3-pointers and scored a team-high 26 points. It was his fifth time scoring 20 or more in the Maroon and White.

The Bulldogs and Gators exchanged leads five times in the first half, but Florida closed out the final five minutes of the period on a 15-7 run to go into the break and never looked back. Next up, State will look to bounce back this weekend in Saturday's matchup against No. 8 Auburn at The Hump.

🔼 Diamond Dawg Preview. Mississippi State baseball is close to getting its 2024 season underway. Opportunity lies ahead, and with it, comes the potential to see some Bulldogs become stars before our very eyes. Check out the latest from D1Baseball as they break down five potential State players on the lookout to have a breakout season.

🔼 Golfing Down Under. Fresh off one of the most successful years of his golfing career, Bulldog men’s golfer Hunter Logan will begin his 2024 campaign on the other side of the world by competing on the Challenger PGA tour of Australasia. Logan will first compete in the WebEx Players series from January 24-27 before then competing in the Vic Open on February 1-4. The standout golfer earned exemptions to both tournaments by winning the 2023 Dogwood Invitational in Atlanta earlier this summer.

🔼 Sponsoring The Big Event. Bulldog softball has partnered with C Spire as the title sponsor for the 2024 Bulldog Invitational. The 13-game event will be played out over four days beginning on Feb. 29. State will host Southern Miss, Troy, Alcorn State, and Samford over the weekend and will play Troy and Alcorn State twice. The Bulldogs will open the event on Thursday, Feb. 29 when they play the Golden Eagles.

🔼 Finding A Way. Strong first impressions are important in many circumstances, and Bulldog newcomer Trey Fort’s first impression signaled that State had found their guy. In State men’s basketball’s season-opener, the Jackson, Mississippi, native sank five 3-pointers, scored 21 points, and helped lead MSU to the win.

Since then, adversity has struck and playing time has gone down, but Fort has still been able to hold his own in the lineup. His process is still ongoing, but he is very much finding his way and his progress is making the Bulldogs deeper and better as they strive for a March run.
