🔼 Complete Game. After a back-and-forth battle to start the game, the Bulldogs settled in on both sides of the ball to help set the tone for the rest of the game en route to a 68-55 victory over Vanderbilt. The win improved State’s record to 13-5 on the season and marked the 10th time this season the Dawgs have won a game by 10 or more points.

🗣️ "We were playing a style that, you know, we've been trying to do lately. Trying to play inside-out, get a bunch of paint touches, trying to get to the line and we were doing it. The defense was pretty locked in from the jump." - Chris Jans

Tolu Smith III recorded his second double-double of the season and scored more than 20 points for the third time in the last six games. The star player totaled 25 points and pulled down 11 boards to lead the team in both areas. D.J. Jeffries did a little bit of everything with 10 points, six rebounds, and five assists on top of one of his best defensive performances of the season.

Up next, Mississippi State will travel to face Florida on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

🔼 Five Star Service. Bulldog women’s tennis stood strong against Samford and came away with a 5-2 win to improve to 3-0 on the season. The match against Alcorn State was canceled.

State started the match off strong by securing the doubles point thanks to Alexandra Mikhailuk and Maria Rizzolo's point-clinching 6-2 victory. In singles play, Mikhailuk and Rizzolo were joined by Athina Pitta and Alessia Tagliente as winners in their matches to finish the job.

🔼 Back To Back Broomsticks. No. 17 ranked men’s tennis capped off a statement-making weekend after completing the sweep against No. 20 Florida State and earning a shutout against Tennessee State. The Bulldogs knocked off the Seminoles 6-1 in the first match of the doubleheader followed by a complete 7-0 showing against Tennessee State. In the first four matches of 2024, State has outscored its opponents 27-1 en route to their perfect 4-0 record.

🔼 Fab Freshmen. Another year, another talented freshmen class for the Diamond Dawgs ready to make an impact. Heading into the 2024 season, Bulldog baseball has the No. 9 ranked freshmen class according the D1 Baseball.
