🔼 Sights Set. Mississippi State football can now set its sights ahead to 2024 as the official schedule for next season has been released. In Coach Lebby’s first season as the Bulldog’s head coach, the team will host seven games and will hit the road for five including one against new SEC foe, Texas, in the Lone Star State’s capital.

The Bulldogs will face three non-conference opponents as they kick the season off against Eastern Kentucky, and later down the road, face Arizona State and UMass. State will conclude the season, as per usual, against in-state rival Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl on Nov. 30.

🔼 Another Won. Four starters combined for 74 points in the Bulldogs’ 82-72 win over Jackson State last night at The Hump. Senior guard Jerkaila Jordan surpassed the 1,000-point mark in her career in Starkville with her 19 points on the night, but it was Debreasha Powe who led the team in scoring with 21 points.

🗣️ "Man, what a great game. We knew it was going to be an absolute dogfight. For us to be strong enough and outrebound a team that is really strong on the boards and most importantly find a way to win, I couldn't be more proud of my team." - Sam Purcell

The victory gave State its 10th win on the season, and head coach Sam Purcell’s team improved to 31-3 when outrebounding their opponent. Next up, the Bulldogs will hit the road to face off against Memphis on Sunday.

🔼 They’re Back. Two Soccer Dawgs who were instrumental in the team’s historic season have announced their return for next year. Goalkeeper Maddy Anderson and midfielder Macey Hodge will come back for the 2024 season to help the Bulldogs build on the success of the team’s first Sweet 16 appearance.

⚽️ Anderson will return as one of the best keepers in program history. Last season, she clinched 12 wins, secured 11 shutouts and was a key part in allowing just 14 goals on the season.

⚽️ Hodge has started in 72 matches for the Bulldogs since 2020, and most recently, was named to the 2023 United Soccer Coaches NCAA DI Women’s All-Southeast Region Second Team.
