🔼 Certified Elite. Bulldog soccer secured their place among the elite programs in collegiate soccer, as both United Soccer Coaches and TopDrawerSoccer have named them the consensus No. 14 team in the nation. The ranking not only signifies the team's first inclusion in the season-ending rankings but also stands as the highest ranking in State soccer history.

The 2023 season has been historic on all fronts. The Bulldogs conceded the fewest goals in program history (14), beat the Gators in Gainesville for the first time, headed into the NCAA Tournament as the highest seed in history, and reached the Sweet 16 for the first time.

🔼 Success On All Fronts. State volleyball senior Rebecca Walk was named to the 2023 College Sports Communications Academic All-District Team for the second year in a row. The CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their performances on the court and in the classroom.

In the classroom, Walk received her bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus in finance with a 3.76 GPA. On the court, Walk was a force at the net. She recorded 141 kills on a .354 hitting percentage this season which ranked fourth in the SEC, and tallied 75 blocks on the season which ranked second on the team.

🔼 The Road Ahead. Less than two months remain until the first pitch is thrown on State softball’s opening day, and with that, head coach Samantha Ricketts released the full 2024 schedule.

The Bulldogs are set to play 32 games against teams that reached the NCAA Tournament last year, including eight non-conference opponents in February. The Bulldogs will also play 20 games against nine teams that finished the season ranked in the NFCA Coaches Poll.

🔼 Bulldog Basketball Preview. Tonight, Bulldog men’s basketball will make their return to The Hump to face off against Murray State for the first time since 2007. The Dawgs are coming off a win against Tulane in which they put up 106 points, the most in a game since the 2018-19 season.

The Racers come into the matchup with a 3-5 record having lost their last two games. State's defense will be in for a challenge as four of Murray State’s players are rolling into Starkville averaging double-digit points.
