🎙️ DEAR OL’ STATE
Dear Ol’ State: Former State Signal Caller Sleepy Robinson. On a recent edition of Dear Ol' State, Joel Coleman and Logan Lowery catch up with Sleepy Robinson. The former Bulldog quarterback recalls his journey to Starkville, his experience in the Maroon and White, and much more.

🔼 Never Backed Down. The No. 25-ranked Bulldogs trailed by eight in the first half against McNeese, but the Maroon and White's resilience was on full display once again as State emerged with a 66-63 triumph. RJ Melendez stepped up with a team-high 18 points on 50% shooting from the field while Josh Hubbard contributed another 16 to help the Bulldogs seal the deal and improve to 9-1 on the season.
🔼 Clutched Up. After falling behind early, Bulldog women’s basketball rallied back in the fourth quarter and sealed the game with a pair of free throws from Destiney McPhaul as State came away with a 73-70 win over Belmont in Tupelo. Jerkaila Jordan turned in her fourth-consecutive game with 20 or more points, in addition to her third double-double of the season and 13th of her career while Madina Okot added her fourth double-double of the season with 11 points and 15 rebounds.

🔼 Signee Spotlight. The Bulldog softball team will welcome outfielder Kinley Keller to Starkville after having won a national championship on the travel circuit this summer. The New Braunfels, Texas, native played at Davenport High School where her team has won two bi-district championships and she has earned First Team All-District honors three times. Last spring, she again won the district's offensive MVP award after hitting .554 with a 1.238 slugging percentage.
