🎙️ DEAR OL’ STATE
Dear Ol’ State: Checking In With Sam Purcell. 📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Foes Revealed. The full 2025 Mississippi State football schedule was announced after the SEC announced the complete schedule on ESPN and SEC Network. The Bulldog's 2025 schedule features seven home games and five road contests. After playing four 2024 College Football Playoff teams on the road last season, the Bulldog will welcome the same four CFP teams to Starkville in 2025 when they host Arizona State (Sept. 6), Tennessee (Sept. 27), Texas (Oct. 25) and Georgia (Nov. 8).
🔼 Staff Addition. The Bulldog track and field head coach Chris Woods announced the hiring of Cha'Mia Rothwell as the program's newest assistant track and field coach. Rothwell comes to Starkville from North Carolina Central University where she served as an assistant coach for sprints and jumps during the 2024 season. Prior to her time at NCCU, she was a volunteer coach for Duke University track and field.
🗣️ "[Cha’Mia’s] time as a high-performing collegiate athlete will be beneficial for the young men and women we have come through our program. I am confident that Coach Rothwell will have an immediate impact on the program." - Chris Woods
🔼 Softball Spotlight. The Bulldog softball team will welcome Ally Supan, who Extra Inning Softball tabbed as the No. 12 utility player in the class. A native of Phenix City, Alabama, Supan is a multi-sport athlete at Central High School where the softball program reached a No. 1 ranking in 7A in 2023 and recorded a 42-game winning streak. She hit .336 as a freshman with 32 RBIs and followed that campaign with a .449 batting average with 62 hits and 61 RBIs as a sophomore.
