Facing off against Puerto Rico in the gold medal game, Team USA run-ruled them 7-0 to win the game to stand atop the podium and return home as champions.

🔼 Podium Dawgs. After long jumper Tiffany Flynn captured a bronze last week, former Bulldogs Curtis Thompson and Navasky Anderson joined her by making their way on the podium in their respective events at the Pan American Games. Anderson earned himself a bronze medal representing Jamaica in the 800m while Thompson came out on top in the javelin throw, taking home the gold for Team USA.

🔼 It’s Time. The time has come! Mississippi State women’s basketball will face Alcorn State at Humphrey Coliseum to open up the 2023-24 season. It’ll be the 12th time in program history the two teams have faced each other with the Bulldogs coming out on top in nine of the previous 11 matchups. State will return five of its student-athletes from a season ago with the third-ranked transfer class according to 247 Sports.

🔼 Serves Up. Facing the top 10 ranked Arkansas Razorbacks, the Volleydawgs were unable to overcome a near first set win and fell in three sets. Setter Emily Oerther dished out a season-high 30 assists on the match, and Amina Shackelford led the offense with 11 kills.

Entering the last month of the season, the Bulldogs will square up against South Carolina on Wednesday.
