🔼 The Challenge. The Bulldogs battled in Atlanta, but the comeback fell just short as State was taken down 67-59 for the first time this season. After falling behind at halftime, the Bulldogs outscored Georgia Tech by five points in the second half, but it wasn’t enough in the end to come out on top. Josh Hubbard led the way for State with 17 points while Dashawn Davis helped with another 12 points.

State will look to bounce back on Sunday as they return home to The Hump to face off against Southern at 3:00 p.m.

🔼 Adding Talent. The Bulldog women’s tennis team grew a bit larger after the signing of top talent Gianna Oboniye to its roster. She’ll join State following a 2023 U18 Canadian Outdoor Nationals doubles championship.

🗣️ “The Bulldog family is going to love what Gianna brings to the court. She is already performing at a high level. I can't wait to get to the practice court with her and see how high her ceiling really is. I think it is pretty high."
Head Coach Chris Hooshyar

🔼 On Their Marks. Bulldog track and field announced the 2024 indoor and outdoor schedules, with the indoor season beginning first at the turn of the new year. The Dawgs will compete in a total of 12 regular season meets throughout the season.

🔼 He’s Our Guy. By now, each and every Bulldog fan knows that offensive guru Jeff Lebby has been introduced as Mississippi State’s 36th head football coach. Catch a few of the quotes from AD Zac Selmon and the head coach himself to hear about how each is feeling about the new era of State football.

🗣️ "We visited with a handful of candidates and met some great coaches, but throughout our process we came back to coach Lebby being the right person to lead our program at this time. We couldn't be more excited about where we are going…He's a coach who wholeheartedly wants to be here at State. He's got a bold vision for the future of MSU football and where we can go as a program." - Athletic Director Zac Selmon

🗣️ "Having the ability to stand here today with incredible leadership that has great alignment and incredible trust gives me such peace to have a chance to go lead these guys the way that we need to lead them," Lebby said. "For that, I'm incredibly thankful for. I'm humbled for the opportunity to get to go do it." - head coach Jeff Lebby
