🔼 Soccer Dawgs Moving On! Thanks to the 10th shutout of the season from the backline and a Maggie Wadsworth overtime goal, Bulldog soccer is moving on to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

After 90 minutes of play, the match was all knotted up thanks to three saves from Maddy Anderson, and it was Wadsworth who broke through in the first overtime period, scoring the game-winning goal. State will now head to Stanford, Calif., to face off against Brown on Friday, Nov. 17 at 5:30pm.

🔼 Kick Six. The game opened up with an electric 94-yard kickoff return touchdown from Zavion Thomas, but the Bulldogs were unable to get the victory on the road against Texas A&M. Linebacker Bookie Watson continued to show out with eight total tackles and a sack, and running back Seth Davis had a solid night in his return to his home state.

🔼 Settling In. It was the newcomers for the Bulldog men’s basketball team who lead State to an 87-63 victory over UT Martin. Freshman Josh Hubbard finished as the team’s leading scorer with 22 points on 5-8 shooting from behind the arc. Trey Fort and Gai Chol put up double-digit points as well, and Jimmy Bell Jr. recorded 12 rebounds in his debut at The Hump.

🗣️ "We thought heading into the season that depth was going to be a positive for us this year with the recruits added to the guys that came back, and fortunately, it is.” - Chris Jans

🔼 Closing Time. Finishing with its best team-finish since 2018, Bulldog cross country closed out the season strong at the NCAA South Regional. Seven Bulldogs clocked in personal best times including Ramat Jimoh who continued her streak of finishing as a top five scorer in meets this season, all while running the second-fastest 6K in program history.

🔼 Keep On Rolling. Opening the season with the third straight win, Bulldog women’s basketball improved to 3-0 this season and 17-2 at home under the coaching of Sam Purcell against Jacksonville State. The 84-45 victory saw five different State players finish in the double-digits with none other than Jerkaila Jordan leading the way with 16 points.
