📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Back on the Hardwood. Mississippi State women's basketball tips off its 2024-25 run when it hosts Memphis inside Humphrey Coliseum today at 6:30 p.m. It will be the 33rd time the Bulldogs and the Tigers have met on the hardwood with State leading the series 10-4 when playing in Starkville. MSU is 38-12 all-time, including 33-1 at home and 2-0 under Purcell, in season openers, and is currently on a 20-game winning streak in season openers.

🔼 Across The Map. Mississippi State will be well represented in a pair of Intercollegiate Tennis Association tournaments that start on Thursday. No. 60 Mario Martinez Serrano and Niccolo Baroni carry the Bulldog banner into the ITA South Sectional Championships in Tallahassee, Florida while MSU's No. 1 ranked doubles duo of Petar Jovanovic and Benito Sanchez Martinez compete at the ITA Conference Masters Championships in Rome, Georgia.

🔼 A Worthy Nominee. For the second time in two seasons, Bulldog long snapper Hayes Hammond was announced as a nominee for the 2024 Burlsworth Trophy, awarded annually to the most outstanding college football player who began his career as a walk-on. Hammond has been the Bulldog's primary long snapper since his redshirt freshman season in 2021 and has been a mainstay in the Bulldog lineup, having played in 33 consecutive games.

🔼 Proud and Loud. In front of the largest crowd at Newell-Grissom this season, Bulldog volleyball fell in four sets to the No. 15 Texas Longhorns. 1,657 fans packed The Griss to become the 3rd largest crowd in program history. Karli Schmidt led the Bulldogs in kills against the Longhorns collecting 12 while Kailin Newsome and Arissa Smith tallied 11 and nine kills, respectively.
