🔼 Homecoming Dub. The Bulldogs closed out its season-long three-game homestand by rolling past UMass 45-20 at Davis Wade Stadium. State racked up 463 yards of total offense and standout freshman quarterback Michael Van Buren Jr. accounted for three total touchdowns to wrap the game in Maroon and White. The offense supported a strong Dawg defensive effort that saw State limit UMass to only 10 points and 222 yards over the final three quarters.
🔼 A Host of Awards. In a banner moment for the program, Bulldog soccer earned an astounding collection of SEC awards, solidifying their place as a dominant force in collegiate soccer. Head Coach James Armstrong was named SEC Coach of the Year, while Macey Hodge earned Midfielder of the Year, Maddy Anderson claimed Goalkeeper of the Year, and Rylie Combs took home Defender of the Year honors.
🔼 How Sweep It Is. The Bulldogs left College Station with another win, as State volleyball took down the Texas A&M Aggies in three straight sets. The Dawgs hit their best percentage of the season in the contest, as they finished with a .361. The duo of Kailin Newsome and Karli Schmidt led the Bulldog attack on the day. Schmidt finished the contest with a team-high 13 kills on 31 swings, and Newsome picked up an efficient 10 kills on 21 swings.
🔼 The Wait Is Over. The wait of 228 days is nearly complete as Bulldog men's basketball makes its highly anticipated season debut against West Georgia on Monday at Humphrey Coliseum. Today’s opener will mark the first meeting between the two schools on the hardwood, and the first NCAA DI game for West Georgia who enter the Atlantic Sun Conference. The Maroon and White has won 10 of its last 11 seasons openers since 2013-14 highlighted by both season debuts under Coach Jans by an average 17-point margin of victory.
🔼 Left With A Trophy. For the second year in a row, Mississippi State carried home a championship at the GT Fall Invite. This year, it was Michal Novansky who secured things for the Bulldogs after going undefeated singles over the weekend. As a team, MSU finished with four wins on the third and final day of the GT Fall Invite and tallied nine victories total during the tournament.
🔼 Successful Showing. After collecting eight wins on Friday to open the Roberta Alison Fall Classic, the Bulldog women's tennis team picked up seven more victories during the final day of action. After their doubles triumph on Friday, Emma Cohen and Athina Pitta collected another victory defeating Louisville in the third round of doubles play.
