📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Work To Do. A pair of Mississippi State tandems will be in action to open the NCAA Doubles Championships today. The Bulldogs are one of only four programs to have two doubles teams qualify for NCAAs and the only school from the Southeastern Conference to do so. No. 1 Petar Jovanovic and Benito Sanchez Martinez will vie for their 15th career ranked win together as the two have posted a 9-2 record this fall including a pair of ranked victories.

🔼 Watch Out. Bulldog men’s basketball’s Josh Hubbard was listed as one of 50 players selected to the 2024-25 Lute Olson Early Season Watch List. Hubbard is already listed on the watch lists for the John R. Wooden Award and the Bob Cousy Award. He has poured in 21.75 points per game (3rd) on a 59.3 shooting percentage (8th).

🔼 Next Challenger. Bulldog women’s basketball is getting ready for its next test at The Hump with Mercer coming to town for a game at 6:30 p.m. Sitting at 4-0 this season, the Bulldogs are averaging just over 81 points per game with three student-athletes averaging double-digit points. The last time these two teams played, State came out on top, 97-66, during the 2014-15 season.

🔼 Just Getting Started. For the fourth consecutive season, Bulldog men’s basketball has started the season with a 4-0 record. Head coach Chris Jans has his team playing great ball, and since his arrival a season ago, his teams are 17-1 in the month of November. State will look to keep its win streak going on the road this weekend as the Bulldogs travel over to Dallas, Texas to face off against SMU on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

🔼 Moving On Up. Former Diamond Dawg Jake Mangum was recently added to the Tampa Bay Rays’ 40-man major league roster. The Bulldog outfielder recorded 126 hits and 56 RBI during his first season in the minor league system for the Rays.
