🔼 More Wins. Bulldog men’s tennis has stepped up on the biggest stage of sport so far this season. Dusan Milanovic came up big in his first match in the main draw with a straight-set win at the ITA All-American Championships. Petar Jovanovic picked up one win in the main draw before falling in his second singles match of the day. He will compete in a consolation match later today.

In the Dawgs’ doubles match, Petar Jovanovic and Benito Sanchez Martinez teamed up for their fourth win of the tournament as a pair. They move on to the second round of the main stage for a match later today.

🔼 Rain Out. After a pair of solid rounds from both the Bulldog women’s and men’s golf teams, the weather prevented the Blessings Collegiate Invitational from finishing the third round. Both teams officially finished in second place overall as the round will not be made up in the future.

🔼 Take A Number. This season, Bulldog softball has taken on an unconventional approach when it comes to the numbers on the back of their jerseys. Learn more about why certain players have chosen the number they will wear for the upcoming season. 

🔼 Bonus Ball For A Cause. Mississippi State and Southern Miss are teaming up its men’s basketball programs for a good cause. On Sunday, October 29, the teams will square off in an exhibition game for charity with all proceeds going to CitiIMPACT, an organization providing financial support to tornado victims in the Mississippi Delta.

🔼 Swamp Stomp. The Soccer Dawgs are preparing for an exciting matchup on the road against Florida tonight at 5:00pm. The team heads into the match with eight different goal scorers so far this season, with Martinez-Montoya, Izquierdo and Johnson. Aiding the offense is the brick wall Maddy Anderson in goal, allowing just 0.85 goals per game.

🔼 Vamos A La Playa. For the first time since 2019, Bulldog softball is making a February trip to Mexico to play four games in the 2024 Puerto Vallarta College Challenge. State will face off against UC Davis, UC San Diego, Utah and Clemson.

Mr. October. The month of October signifies the start of the MLB Playoffs, and this season, the Bulldogs will be well represented across the league with former players on a variety of World Series seeking teams.
