🔼 Top Forward. Bulldog women’s basketball forward Erynn Barnum was named to the Katrina McClain Award Watch List as one of 20 honorees for the preseason list. Last season, Barnum finished as a top ten finalist for the award where she set career-bests in points per game (15.0), rebounds per game (6.5), assists (66) and blocks (38).

This season will be the first for Barnum to don the Maroon and White as she enters with 1,072 career points scored and has a career field goal percentage of 53%.

🔼 Dreams Into Reality. Kicker Kyle Ferrie grew up in Arkansas, but during the 2015 Egg Bowl, Ferrie had a feeling that one day he would gear up for the Bulldogs as the team’s kicker. From standout soccer star to one of the top specialists in the country, Ferrie ultimately fulfilled what he had sought out to do as a 12-year-old boy.

🔼 All Square. It was a defensive battle all match long for Bulldog soccer, and after 90 minutes of play, the match ended in a scoreless draw. With the tie, the Soccer Dawgs achieved a program-record unbeaten SEC streak at five games in a row.

State put up nine shots on goal, but were unable to come away with any goals on the night. Goalkeeper Maddy Anderson helped keep the Commodores from scoring any of their own with three saves on the night and secured her 24th career shutout.

Next up, the Soccer Dawgs will play in their penultimate match of the regular season against Alabama on Sunday.

🔼 Media Day Success. Bulldog men’s basketball hit the skies to Birmingham, AL, for SEC ‘24 Tipoff, and after settling into the cameras and questions, head coach Chris Jans and Bulldogs Cameron Matthews and Shakeel Moore were soaking up the spotlight. The trio touched on the upcoming season, the state of the program and some personal anecdotes.

🗣️ "I love where we're at. I feel like we have 15 players in our gym everyday that are good enough to play in the SEC.” - head coach Chris Jans
