🔼 Home Field. When the first pitch is thrown for Bulldog softball in 2024, the team will have the highest number of native Mississippians on the diamond or in the dugout since the 2007 season.

🗣️ "To be able to wear the jersey of the place you grew up wanting to go to, that you grew up cheering for and doing it in the best conference in the United States, and getting to wear your team, your home on your chest - there's something about it.” - freshman Megan Davidson

🔼 Sack Town. As the NFL season prepares for another week of action, it’s time to look back at how some former Bulldogs performed in the trenches in Week 5.

Mississippi State, a.k.a. D-Line U, had three former players record a sack including Montez Sweat of the Washington Commanders, Chris Jones of the Kansas City Chiefs and Preston Smith of the Green Bay Packers. Both Sweat and Jones now sit at 4.5 sacks on the season while Smith’s sack on Monday Night Football brought his career total up to 59 in his ninth year in the league.

🔼 Stepping In. Heading into his senior season, Connor Hujsak will have a big role to fill as a starting outfielder for the Diamond Dawgs in 2024, but the work put in during the offseason and improvements this summer show he’s up for the task.

🗣️ "Honestly, [I want to improve] in all aspects of the game. At the plate, being more consistent and on the defensive side, just making every play I can." - outfielder Connor Hujsak

This summer, Hujsak played in the Florida Collegiate Summer League for the River Rats, and in 28 games, posted a batting average of .319, hit five home runs, and finished with 16 RBIs. Heading into fall ball, Hujsak is ready to embrace responsibility and bring a level of experience to help his team reach new heights.

🔼 Buy Now, Smile Later. Mississippi State Athletics is offering two ticket packages for both men’s and women’s basketball that will be hard for Bulldog fans to turn down. Check out the Super Basketball Weekend and True Maroon Weekend packages available to all fans for just $30!
