Dear Ol’ State: Football Talk (And Fubol Talk). Following a weekend off, Mississippi State football returns to action on Saturday at Georgia. On the latest edition of Dear Ol' State, Joel Coleman and Logan Lowery start looking ahead at the battle of the Bulldogs plus bring you head coach Jeff Lebby's weekly press conference. Also, the guys spend a few minutes enjoying Mississippi State soccer's huge win over No. 1 Arkansas.

🔼 Double The Fun. Following a historic week on the pitch, two Bulldogs have earned SEC Player of the Week honors. Ally Perry was named SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week, while keeper Maddy Anderson claimed SEC Defensive Player of the Week.

⚽️ Perry continues to assert herself as one of the premier players in the country with 4.64 shots per game (11th in the NCAA) while averaging 0.64 goals per game, good enough for fifth in the SEC.

⚽️ On the defensive side, Anderson anchored the Bulldogs' defense to her 34th career shutout, holding Arkansas scoreless for the first time in 2024. Anderson recorded her ninth solo shutout of the season (10th combined), as she currently leads the SEC in goals-against average (0.19) and save percentage (.920).

🔼 The Grind Continues. The regular season in the MLB may have concluded, but four former Diamond Dawgs have taken their talents to Arizona to showcase their skills in the Arizona Fall League. The 32nd season of the Arizona Fall League kicked off last night, and David Mershon, Houston Harding, Jackson Fristoe, and Preston Johnson will be representing the Diamond Dawgs. Eighty-one regular-season games will be available for fans to watch completely free, in addition to the AFL Home Run Derby, Fall Stars Game, Play-in semifinal, and Championship Game.

🔼 New Date Set. Due to the impending arrival of Hurricane Milton in Gainesville, Mississippi State volleyball's scheduled match with the Florida Gators has been moved to Friday, October 11th at 6 p.m. The contest against the Gators was originally scheduled for Wednesday at 6 p.m.
