🔼 Job Well Done. Bulldog soccer wrapped up the regular season with a 2-1 win over South Carolina, and as a result, finished undefeated in SEC play. The victory also made head coach James Armstrong the all-time winningest coach in program history. After falling behind early in the match, Hannah Johnson and Kennedy's husbands scored two second-half goals to secure the win and complete the perfect season in conference play.
🔼 Times Two. For the second time in her collegiate career, Avery Weed was named SEC Co-Golfer of the Week. Weed accomplished something at The Ally that no Bulldog in history had ever done. She finished the opening round at 11-under par, which tied an NCAA record for the lowest score in relation to par in a single round. Weed became just the fifth player in the history of women's collegiate golf to shoot 11-under in a single round.
🔼 From State to Sundays. Former Bulldogs Jeffery Simmons and Montez Sweat wreaked havoc on opposing offenses during their time at Mississippi State and helped the Bulldogs secure the No. 1 defense in the country in 2018. The two former first-round NFL Draft picks both put their defensive prowess on display again during Week 8 of NFL action. See how the star duo, along with other Pro Dawgs, shined during their most recent NFL performances.
🔼 Echoes of the Hardwood. Mississippi State men's basketball opens its season in less than a week as the Bulldogs face West Georgia during their 2024-25 season opener on Monday, Nov. 4 at Humphrey Coliseum and officially embark on the program's third season under head coach Chris Jans. Hear how his players described him following back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances fueled by a pair of 21-win campaigns at the helm.
🗣️ "He's definitely a down-to-earth person. He cares about everybody. He wants the best from everybody. He's always going to have your back, and he's always going to be there for me. If you have any questions, he's going to be there. He's never going to push you away. He's just a loving coach." - Shawn Jones Jr.
