📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Setting The Record Straight. History was made in Starkville on Thursday night as No. 3 Bulldog soccer wrapped up the final regular season match in thrilling fashion with a 1-0 victory over Kentucky. In front of a program-record crowd of 2,867, the Bulldogs not only secured their 11th consecutive win but also set a slew of milestones that will be remembered for years to come. The victory pushed State's overall record to 14-1-0, setting a new program mark for most wins in a single season and completed a perfect 10-0 campaign at home for the first time.
🔼 Preseason Accolades. With Bulldog women’s basketball set to take the court soon, fifth-year guard Jerkaila Jordan was selected to the 2025 Preseason Coaches’ All-SEC Second Team. It marks the second straight season that Jordan has earned preseason recognition from conference head coaches. Jordan secured 2024 All-SEC Second Team honors after averaging 16.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.1 steals in 30.8 minutes per game in 2023-24. Her +303 plus/minus ratio led the team, and she was the lone Bulldog to start all 35 games, now starting all 124 in her career.
🔼 Gearing Up. On Saturday, Bulldog football will host the Arkansas Razorbacks at Davis Wade Stadium at 11:45 a.m. Looking to improve on an impressive performance against Texas A&M, and previously Georgia, State heads into the matchup on a two-game win streak against the Hogs. Last season, the Bulldogs held Arkansas to just 3 points en route to a victory. This year, MSU will have Michael Van Buren Jr. behind center as the true freshman looks to help lead the team to its second victory of the season.
🔼 Warm Welcome. Bulldog track and field hired its newest addition to the coaching staff by bringing on Jay Turner as the team’s newest assistant coach. Turner comes to Starkville from Tiffin University where he served as the horizontal jumps and combined events coach during the 2024 season. Under Turner's leadership, the Montana State sprints and hurdles teams earned eight individual Big Sky conference titles, five relay conference titles, 54 All-Big Sky conference performances, seven NCAA First Round qualifications and 30 university records.
