Dear Ol’ State: Smith And Ewing Have Squads Set For Blessings. Mississippi State men’s and women’s golf are in Fayetteville, Ark. this week for the Blessings Collegiate Invitational, one of the most unique events on the golf calendar each year. Hear from head coaches Dusty Smith and Charlie Ewing on how they got their rosters prepared for play.

🔼 Let’s Kick It. Mark those calendars, Bulldog fans — Mississippi State football’s game at Georgia on Saturday, Oct. 12 is set to kick off at 3:15 p.m. on the SEC Network!

🔼 Top Of The Leaderboard. Mississippi State men’s golf got play underway at the Blessing Collegiate Invitational on Monday, and all five Bulldogs find themselves among the top 20 heading into Tuesday. Drew Wilson is tied for the lead at 2-under, with Dain Richie and Garrett Endicott right behind him in a tie for seventh at even-par. The Bulldogs will tee off at 11 a.m. today.

🔼 In Contention. Mississippi State women’s golf finds itself in second place after the opening day at the Blessings, one of only two teams to shoot under-par at 2-under. Julia Lopez Ramirez shot the round of the day for the Bulldogs, carding 4-under to sit in second place on the leaderboard. Avery Weed also finished under-par at 1-under, and is in a tie for seventh heading into Tuesday’s round.

🔼 Electrifying The Pitch. In front of the sixth-largest crowd in program history on Sunday night against LSU, Mississippi State women’s soccer’s Ally Perry sent a lightning bolt off her left foot into the back of the net that got each of the 1,376 fans in attendance on their feet. Her success is no accident — it’s the result of strenuous hours of hard work to hone her craft.
